Amy
A farmer, a mother, a duaghter, a sister, a friend. Just like everyone else I (amy) have a story. Within the yogic tradition stories are what give us identity. I love to bring stories and myths to yoga, and have learned that myths also bring identity to the human story. All over the world we share the seasons, the directions, and the elements. Teaching yoga from within, and facilitating the discovery of the students natural inner compass is what I aspire to do. Fostering grace through movement, breathe, and intention. My intersts include a passion for traditional Kung-fu (20yrs experience and black belt certified), daily metta yoga on my farm, and spending quality time with my family.
Anthea
After working concurrently as a dancer/dance teacher, fitness instructor and presenter, Anthea took her Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in 2000. She founded and ran for four years Karuna Centre for Dance and Yoga in Courtenay, during which time she also trained in Clearheart Bodywork and Thai Massage. In 2003, Anthea discovered the Vijnana Yoga practice, studying with Cathy Valentine. She recently returned from a few years in Montreal, where she earned her Acroyoga Teacher Certification. Anthea integrates her experience as a dancer, her experiential understanding of the mind/body connection, and our inherent human capacity for joy in both her teaching and bodywork practice. "Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." ~ Marianne Williams

Paula
The connection to the soul through the movement of the body and flow of breath is simple yet vast. It is this vital connection and realization that continues to keep Paula inspired with the endless possiblilites of yoga. Daily discoveries of the gifts that yoga brings to this life continue to fill her with gratitude and the desire to share yoga with others.
She enjoys leading classes that encompass fluid movements and building strength under the guidance of the breath while finding connection with the self and the moment.
Paula's passion for surfing, nature and travel led her to her teacher training in Mexico at Yandara Yoga Institute. Yandara's accepting and compassionate approach to the teaching of yoga are some the most important aspects she brings to her classes. It is her belief that we must first love and serve ourselves to fully love and serve others.
